I am now blogging in a HOSPITAL. I'm not visiting someone, I AM THE ONE WHO GOT ADMITTED. very omg right.
Today is my 3rd day there :( And the doctor told me this morning that i need to stay for another night :((
So, what exactly happened.
Wednesday i woke up feeling the body burning, very heaty. I thought i didn't drink enough water, maybe it's just normal body heaty. So in the afternoon i took a bath and went to the library. Initial plan is to stay there until jap class which is 6pm. But at about 3sth, I felt so dizzy i couldn't take it any longer, went back to my room to catch some sleep. Woke up 45 mins later, felt the room spinning but dragged myself to jap lecture. Took panadol then surprisingly felt better. So gone through the whole lecture and went back to sleep. I noticed my swollen thumb as well but didn't bother much about it, thought it's some insect bite.
Then the next day the fever came down a little but the swelling got worse. My whole thumb is swelled to the MAX and the redness continues on up the arm. And it hurts. Went to the uni clinic after lecture but when i showed the doctor my swelling, she straightaway ask me to go to the hospital. So went to the A&E department, waited waited waited. Saw the doctor, took blood samples (3pokes ><), took the drip. Then the bad news came- i need to be admitted into the hospital. And that time, my phone battery died. But thank goodness i wrote down one contact of my friend's the day before. So that's my ONLY contact.
So called my friend to come over to get my room key, explained situation. I expected 1 to come, but 6 appeared. hahaa. Then i was wheeled up to the operating theatre. Had a few jabs of anaesthetic mainly at the thumb.
DOC:"I'll need to remove your nail."
ME:"Errr, do you really have to?"
DOC:"You can keep the nail..."
ME:*tinge of hope*
DOC:"But you will lose your thumb"
Bubble burst immediately. Fine, just remove my nail la.
So that's basically about my first surgery. I wrote this on my second or third day in the hospital. But was too lazy to finish up the story. This is only like half of the story. See when i got time maybe i'll update the second half. haha.
Btw, i got discharged already!!!!!!!!!

Jalan jalan
Went to jurong point with verene after open bidding closed. Need to get myself out of my room to relax abit. After all the bidding stuff.
Was undecided where to go. Me already very indecisive, paired with another indecisive person only make things double hard to decide. Hahaha. We thought of chinese garden, then decided on jurong point. Save the garden for next time :)
Went to the mall beside the mrt station. Walked around, not many cheap stuff. After all, it's a mall. Found cotton on, but that outlet don't have sales, weird. That day when i was flagging, i passed by a cotton on outlet in orchard having sales. So tempting.
Chewy Junior. Verene was talking about this so we went to try it :p
And i realised yami yogurt was opposite chewy junior! Realised the concept is a bit like tutti frutti. The one my 'brother' belanja-ed the night before i come to singapore.
Mine on the right. Double chocolate. The left is verene's. Blueberry something. haha.
Ahh. Looks nice! The texture is something like muachi la. A donut look alike muachi. And there's cream inside. When u sink your teeth into it, better fast fast suck the cream before it oozes out. hehe.
My double choco. With crispy rice on top. It's quite small actually, slightly smaller than donut. $1.50 one biji. But we got the student price. 30cents off!! yay!! hahah. like that also happy.
We were sitting on the bench in front of chewy junior, then we noticed the shop beside it.
said must try ler, how can we not try?
Something like apam. but more peanuty.
Couldn't afford ourselves with expensive nice food, so these are the little things that makes us happy. LOL.
Wow, very rajin blog today.
First thing first, been lazy to snap pictures lately. The camera is always lying around in my room. So what to do, have to steal pictures from the internet. For the past few days was sleeping quite late, so was kind of sleep deprived. Maybe for someone else my sleeping hours might be more than enough, but for me being someone who loves to sleep, sleeping hours seem not be enough. BUT, it's good to get a start to this lifestyle, i can foresee my sleeping hours getting lesser when classes start.
No pictures very hard to blog. My writing so char, if no pictures the post will turn out long-winded. For my modules, finally it's coming to an end. But don't so happy first, later on there's still the tutorial balloting. Like momo said, get to used to it then can liao la. Trying not to stress too much about it also. So this term i'll be taking 3core modules, basic english (free english classes, how good!), japanese as my breadth (can talk to takuya kimura next time. Lol) and 1 more elective. The one i chose for the previous round, i got outbidded. So now opting for another one, e-commerce. If everything go smooth sailing, and i DON'T get outbid again, these are the 6modules i'll be taking.
*edit* i got e-commerce already.
Oh i just realised i have a few pictures during the freshman inauguration ceremony. That was on monday. Snapped before the ceremony.
Grandnyaaa.
Then tuesday it was flagging.
FLAGGING is something quite common in singapore, from what i heard. Means, u hit the streets in singapore asking the public for donations. All faculties and halls actually have their own flag team. But i didn't join the science faculty orientation, so in the end i flagged for king edward7 (one of the halls). Being a non-haller, helping to flag for hall is kinda awkward la.
KE7:"You helping us to FLAG??"
Me:"Erm, haha yea..?"
KE7:"Oh, u're from PGP??"
Me:"Erm, haha yea..?"
They probably think i'm out of my mind, having nothing better to do. Actually it was ruth who wanted to join, so i just tagged along. KE7 is the nearest hall from PGP, so any PGP-ians who wants to join they send us to KE7 (which was only 3 people from PGP). wai kuan and verene pulled out last minute. hmph. haha. Slept at 12sth, woke up at 4am. Walked my way to KE7. Boarded the bus, mrt, waited at mcd. 7am, flagging starts! me and my partners were placed in orchard. Things in the morning was quite good actually. Managed to filled my first can before lunch.
But after lunch, the not-enough-sleep weariness comes in, so started to slack. And also most of the people already donated, so it's hard to get business. Since business was sloooow, me and my partner decided to head to bugis. Stayed there til 7, at least managed to filled half of my second can.
Actually there's this competition between halls to see who got the highest donation. So u can see flaggers from other halls/faculties on the same street, so have to pandai-pandai choose some spots that are clear from other flaggers. So in short, flagging IS TIRING. Sometimes while i flag, i'll think, WHAT AM I DOING HERE? But then, it's for charity, so at least i'm not doing for nothing.
Recharging my lost energy. Next week classes start! 既期待又害怕受伤害。ahaha.

._.
Been church hopping for the past 2 weeks. First sunday was at city harvest. Yeah man, CITY HARVEST. It was an eye opener. I think i need not elaborate more. The second sunday went with su ming to her church. Felt abit weird with the musicless worship session. The brother will just go in front, pick a hymn and start singing. And somehow they know the tune of the song.
This week went to trinity christian centre. Thanks to peter's friend, rebecca who brought me there. While waiting for rebecca at the mrt station.

Very funny when a lady (rebecca's friend) asked me.
" Oh so u were from a brethren church.. Are we too noisy? "
Haha.
